Sorry its been a while since my last post, but I’m finally back! This is really useful to me because since I use Ubuntu, Mac OS X and Windows 7, there’s a lot of erasing and reformatting going on. I was baffled by this the first time as the drive was shown as connected in the device manager but wouldn’t show up in my Computer. Luckily, there’s a simple fix.

First go to My Computer and click alt on your keyboard. This should make a file menu pop up like this:

Click on Tools, and then on Folder Options. Inside Folder Options click on the middle tab at the top of the window entitled View, and scroll until you can uncheck the option shown below.

Even if you feel that you would never use this, still just uncheck it because there is no harm and you don’t know what the future will bring.
